Hello, I’m Sarah Westrick, a dedicated middle school math teacher and a proud graduate of Illinois State University. While my focus is working with 8th graders, I have experience with 4th – 10th grades. I currently work at a school in Romeoville and love what I do.
I hold a strong belief that every student has the potential to excel in mathematics, and my teaching philosophy revolves around creating those thrilling “ah ha” moments when students truly understand and embrace mathematical concepts.
I always try to add to the traditional methods, by integrating students’ individual interests into the learning experience. This not only makes math more relatable but also ignites a genuine enthusiasm for the subject, fostering a lifelong love for learning. My commitment to personalized education is deeply rooted in my own experiences. Looking back on my academic journey, I’m grateful for the individuals who took the time to work with me one-on-one. This personal connection fuels my dedication to providing the same level of individualized support and mentorship to my students.
