BS Elementary Education
Teaching and working with children is something that I have always had a passion and drive for. This passion has taken form in many different positions and jobs over the years, but has ultimately brought me here to tutoring bright young minds with Tutor On Up.
In 2016, I graduated from Bradley University with a degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement to teach students learning English as a second language. From here I spent 2 years teaching 5th grade in the northern suburbs before starting a family of my own. After starting my own family, I decided to take a leap into a different type of environment, and become a buying assistant. It only took me a year to see that, while I had great strengths in the corporate world, education was still where my heart was at. All of this has led me to my current job as one of the school secretaries at El Sierra Elementary School in Downers Grove.
I love being a part of both sides of education. I feel it gives me such a great insight into learning and working with students and families. I am so excited to continue working with students one on one to help them grow.
