Marissa Libman, M.Ed.
Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I had a great family who valued education and was lucky enough to experience amazing teachers who encouraged me throughout my journey. After graduating with my bachelors in elementary education, I was unaware of the path it would lead me on. That road has led me to tutoring, substitute teaching, a special education career, acquiring my learning behavior specialist I certification, participating in a leadership development program at Purdue University, and obtaining my masters of education in educational policy, organization, and leadership. Through all this, I have been able to really hone my craft and keep up to date on the latest teaching strategies. I have worked with all ages, abilities, and learning styles. I enjoy learning new things as well as developing ways to further a student’s understanding.
I currently reside in the Western Suburbs of Chicago with my husband, daughter, and our crazy pup. I have recently become a stay-at-home-mom, but look forward to keeping my teaching skills sharp while getting to know your child and help them succeed!
